NEXSTEP is a Department of Labor funded program designed to
provide eligible military spouses, Department of Defense civilian
employees and activated National Guard and Reservist with training
so they can successfully enter, or re-enter the workforce. |

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
You may be eligible to receive NEXStep services if you fall
into one of the following categories:
-
Spouses of active duty military personnel who:
-are at least 18 years of age; and
-are a U.S. Citizen or have the Right to Work in the US;
and
-are in compliance with the Military Selective Service Act;
and
-are unemployed or underemployed.
-
Department of Defense Civilian employees who have received
reduction-in-force (RIF) notification or who have been dislocated
from their employment and who meet the requirements of a
dislocated worker.
-
Reserve and National Guard members who have been activated
due to terrorist attacks of 9/11, as a result of the Iraq
war or the War against terrorism and who meet the requirements
of a dislocated worker.
